Jennifer is an 19-year-old singer, originally from the Czech Republic but currently based in Gloucestershire, UK. Jennifer started piano and vocal lessons aged 6, singing Czech pop music and performing in local concerts as a solo artist and as part of her choir. After moving to the UK in 2011, she began her journey singing classical music, working up to achieve a distinction in her Grade 8 exam. She's has performed in the Rotary young musician's competition and their attendee's concert. Interested in choral music, she has been a part of her school choirs since primary school, taking part in different concerts and joining the Gloucestershire Youth Choir in a performance at BBC Proms. In 2014, Jennifer was a member of a stage choir which performed with West End professionals in an Emma's Trust Christmas Gala, and again in 2015 in a Summer festival. Growing up, Jennifer was also passionate about acting and dance and she attended her local stagecoach, where she played many roles, including the lion in a performance of 'The Wizard of Oz' and multiple school productions such as 'Singing in the Rain'.
Jennifer has always been passionate about many different genres of music from pop to rock. She likes to spend her time doing covers of her favourite songs including those by Pink, Demi Lovato, Adele and Halsey. Since she started playing guitar, she's enjoyed filming covers and writing songs with her piano and guitar. Being influenced by many different musical styles, her songwriting is diverse and unique. She enjoys music from the 80's to the current Indie Pop, Musicals and Pop Rock.
However, following her passions in classical music, she has explored opera and after seeing a performance of 'The Magic Flute' in the Prague National Theatre, she became interested in pursuing the path to become an opera singer. She took part in an opera and musical theatre workshop organized by the Longbourough Summer Opera, on which she met many professionals including Maria Jagusz, with whom she's currently training.
In the autumn of 2019, Jennifer auditioned to conservatoires in London, however after succeeding in the second round she wasn't accepted but she hopes to try again in the future when she feels more prepared. Meanwhile, she plans on attending university to study music performance and production to become an independent artist whilst she continues training. Interested in acting, she also took part in student film projects and a historical music video.
She is currently studying music at Royal Holloway and releasing her own music from home. She released her first single in April called 'Close my eyes' all abut being a in a long dostance relationship during the pandemic. This track was followed by two others, 'Chance' and 'Trapped' which each present a different style and her differen vocal and lyrical abilities.
