I decided to write a little bit about how you can help and support me and my music...or really any artist. These points are all free and very accessible to most individuals online. There are of course features on streaming services and social media that allow you to support an artist financially. Such as being a premium member or buying merch/concert tickets. But not everyone can afford to do this so here is a quick and short guide to what YOU can do.
Pre-save Firstly, pre-saving is one of the first steps in supporting an artist. It maximises the exposure of the release before it is even out, giving the artist the chance to reach a wider audience, and eliminates people missing the day that the release comes out This also helps create buzz on the streaming services, helping small artists get noticed by curators. sidenote: If you did Presave, thank you so much! You are amazing, and if you haven’t yet done so, follow the link on my main page, I would so appreciate it! On release day 1. Please listen to my tune in full! Skipping the song after 30 seconds does give me a play but it tells Spotify that people don’t like it! On services such as Youtube short plays don’t support the channel which thrives on the amount of time played. services are often very questionable with streams as they don’t always count such as when you loop streams on youtube. 2. Please add it to a playlist (that matches the vibe if possible). Getting it on playlists helps push the song out to new audiences. this can be on any streaming service but most importantly Youtube, Spotify and Apple music. 3. Watch the music video - pretty self-explanatory. (also don’t forget to like and comment or share it with friends) 4. Support on Social Media - Interacting is key! Reposting on stories, sharing the song with friends or using the song in your posts. All these things help an artist widen their audience and grow. Interacting with content on social media can also be a key tool in aiding the artist. Liking, sharing, commenting and sharing helps push content on the algorithm, which is very difficult nowadays. And of course, don’t forget to follow and subscribe. * Since you’re here, you may as well follow my social and subscribe to my youtube channel below. 4. Lastly sit back and feel amazing about helping me or any other artist reach new audiences and giving a new track a fighting chance (preferably while listening to the song a few more times ) Thank you so much in advance You can use all these points and support my current release ‘Trapped’ which comes out on the 30th of July (This Friday). Hope you love it! Let me know what you think below. Jen click on the button below to check out those social platforms:

It's been a few exciting and busy months that have only sparked inspiration. I have really enjoyed releasing music and the feedback has been amazing. This is what motivates me to keep releasing, so thank you for your support.
My goal into the future is to still pursue a career in opera, however, in the past few months I have gained new skills and improved the existing, from learning to release music to using social media and managing my own marketing. Most importantly, I have enjoyed exploring different genres of music and my own abilities. The next track, which is coming out on the 30th of July, is something completely different. I took stylistic influence from the modern soul and jazz tracks - giving the song a new mood and groove. I wrote this song back in 2020 when I had been waitlisted and declined by conservatoires and I started to contemplate my journey in music. If this was truly worth it and If I could make it. I was ‘trapped inside my thoughts’. These thoughts even led me to consider a career in speech therapy, which ended quickly as I wasn't accepted due to my lack of work experience. And then Lockdown happened… and I felt Trapped! I spent the next few months exploring where I wanted to be in music. Was Opera the right path? Should I do something else? Should I give up? All my life I worked hard towards this one goal and suddenly it was all falling apart. It shattered my motivation and self-confidence.
My mind was clouded by so many questions, as I struggled to enjoy anything Idid in music. Joy only existed when I sang Mozart or Verdi, but that path seemed impossible to me. I was creating videos for Instagram, covering popular songs. Taking pictures in which I didn’t feel myself and trying to sing music that not only felt unfamiliar but unnatural. I was chasing something that didn’t feel true to me and I can only say now that I am starting to find it.
So one night, as I couldn't sleep and my mind wandered about, I started writing this song. I felt trapped and didn’t know what to do … struggled to see the hope in tomorrow. So this song was created, and a year later I brought it into the studio and we made it come alive. Lockdown was a difficult time for all musicians. Some lost their job or had to face challenges involving their job or something entirely new. This is why I feel musicians but also others might relate to the feelings presented in the song. The production process for this track was probably the quickest, as everything was instinctive. We felt like everything fit and made sense, and the song was even finished before my previous track ‘Chance’ was released. I hope that you will enjoy this song. It has a slow, jazzy feel with soul-influenced vocals. We took inspiration from artists like Diana Krall, Melody Gardot or Norah Jones. I think that people will relate to this in their own way but I hope that they also find hope in the song. Though the lyrics are emotional and raw (and so is the vocal production *wink wink*), the music has a relaxing, comforting mood. I also decided to create a music video, which will come out soon after the release. It is probably not what one might expect but I will say that this video will give you a closer look into my journey. ‘Trapped’ comes out on all your favourite streaming services on Friday the 30th (This Friday!). Please check it out and show it some love. If you wanna support me, check out my next post for details on what you can do. Thank you and I hope you enjoy my music. Jen ps. you can watch preview for track on youtube now Hi, So I have a super exciting announcement. My debut single called ‘Close My Eyes’ is coming out on the 7th of May! I started writing it in December/January during the 3rd lockdown. I always write music expressing my emotions and what is going on around me and this exactly the case for this song. I started university in September and I got the taste of the uni life, made new friends and fell in love. All of that was over in the next lockdown, as I was stuck home, in the middle of the Cotswolds, 80 miles away from my boyfriend. This led me to write a song all about escaping that mood of being stuck at home and closing my eyes, dreaming about what could be. This song went from a lofi, simple melody and lyrics I produced at 2 am under the duvet so that I wouldn’t wake my family to an amazing track. Thanks to the help of Jonathan Jowitt, an extremely talented producer, I was able to create a jazz/soul influenced song, with a chill beat to vibe to in your room. It is me in a song, it's vulnerable but also has the perfect mood to relax and daydream too. Working on this song has taught me alot about my creative abilities but also professional. I have learned about how to make music, release music and all that comes with promoting it. Not only did I grow emotionally making the song, I also grew professionally. That is why I am so excited for you to hear it when it comes out. And let me know if you would like to hear more about the process and inspiration in creating the track. https://linktr.ee/jennifermorafka In the meantime feel free to check out my content on youtube, instagram and tiktok. Stay safe, Jen. ps. Here's a little teaser...
So where do I even start...everything was so exciting. Let's just start from the beginning. So about a week prior, I was informed of the opportunity that Abbey Roads Studios and Institution are hosting their first event to celebrate #Internationalwomensday. They had a limited number but I signed up straight away, knowing this would be a great opportunity to learn more about DAW and the production system but also to do some networking. And to be honest, I would be able to ACTUALLY go to Abbey Roads. On the 8th of March, I set off with my friend to London for the day. When we arrived, it was amazing, walking past the street people were filming for TV and taking pictures on the Famous crosswalk. We went to the stairs and took some pictures as others took pictures of us (probably thinking we're celebrities hah). When we entered I couldn't breathe, it was so intimidating. There were lots of photos of albums and known singers all over the walls. I sat there on the chairs and just admired everything. The afternoon consisted of a presentation by different women working at Abbey Roads, including young producers who graduated from the institute and is currently working for a runner. I learned many things about the production, which were very useful as I've been trying to become to record things independently. I also learned of different useful websites which I will link in the bottom for those of you interested. After the presentation and Q&A, we went down and looked into studio 1, the biggest and oldest studio at Abbey roads. It was magnificent and intimidating, seeing a place where amazing recording has been done. And then we had some time to socialize which was great. Being someone who isn't very confident, I found it a good challenge to speak to everyone and make some connections. I connected with some young students and artists/producers and learned about production at Uni which awaits me next year. Everyone there was so friendly and tried to get to know all of us which was amazing and the contacts I made I know will always be useful. If you're reading this and you're hoping to become an artist or work in the industries, opportunities like this are great not only to make contacts and learn new things but also to get used to the industry. And if you ever see something like this, I recommend this.
